Basic Spiritual Principles found in this Lesson

The Nature of God as Love: God is an omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, omniactive All-Love.

The Nature of God as Individual Being: We are God Itself appearing as individual being, as that I which is pure Consciousness and not physicality.

Love is the answer, but what is Love?
The man to whom is unveiled the mystery of Love
Exists no longer, but vanishes into Love. — Rumi

The word “love,” as it applies to God is unknowable. Yet it is so important that we have a continuing inner unfoldment on its meaning because it is not just a word, it is one of the keys to the Kingdom when we experience its meaning. We need to rely on this principle as a comforter, and a guide, as we move toward a realization that all relationships are those of God to Itself, that there is ever only the One.

Having a realization of divine Love as the beingness and activity of God, and as defining all the qualities of God, is the heart and soul of our spiritual on-going, and it is the very essence of all spiritual teaching.

So let’s keep asking: “What am I speaking about when I speak of the God of Love? What does that Love mean? How does it function? How does it define who I am, and who my neighbor is? How do I live It? How do I let it pour out as a blessing on all the world, and especially how am I to do this when it seems to run dry in me?”

How am I to live out from Love?
To love is to know Me, My innermost nature, the truth that I am — Bhagavad Gita

With heartfelt surrender and humility we ask, “How am I to live day by day, moment by moment, according to the law of Love?” We ask these questions with a readiness to act upon the answers we receive. This helps us very quickly come to the end of being able to do things with our human strength or human abilities, and we arrive at that place where we realize, only God can do this, because I cannot.

This is a very good place to be, even if at times it doesn’t feel that way, since now our dependence is solely on God. We move forward when we accept what God gives us to do, and do it with a confidence and trust based on, although I can of my own self do nothing, it is the Father within that doeth the work. As we rest in that Word, we behold, actually see God-in-action as the fruitage of the work It has given us to do. It is this experience of truth which becomes the grounding and rooting nature of the principle in our consciousness that who we are, and what we are, is an unfolding Self-completeness and fulfillment of the living God of Love, appearing as us.

Love is the bridge
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God — I John 3:1

The consciousness of “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased,” is essential for us to attain. This means even in our deepest sense of sin and ugliness, or any sense of separation, we must learn to let in the truth that God is everywhere loving us supremely, God is being that Love, and no matter what the appearance, the I That I Am is holding us close. In that realization we experience It healing us and leading us with tenderest care at whatever level we appear to need. And in that experience we are enabled to consciously make the return journey to who we really are, the Beloved of the Father.

Let Love in, let it flow through, for that omniscient All-Love knows who we are. It sees through every hypnotic picture of good and evil and is not fooled. It knows God Is and I Am That, with nothing to oppose. Most importantly let’s always remember that the I That I Am, the God that Is, is divine Love and only divine Love, and beside this Love, there is no other, no other person, thing, power, presence, activity, substance, law or cause.

We must learn to let divine Love flow forth, for the realization of Its truth is the bridge from “this world” to My Kingdom. It is the bridge to loving God with all our heart and all our soul and all our mind, and to loving our neighbor as our self. It is this divine Love that is a bridge unto us, over all the pain and suffering from the sense of separation. Held safe and secure in those everlasting Arms of Love we witness the dissolution of every sense of power in the karmic picture. It is this remembrance, realization, and sure knowledge of divine Love that opens us to It’s compassion and power and presence. It is this miracle of awareness that enables us to let Love flow freely to renew, restore and resurrect as It will. So let It enter from within and let It pour through to reveal the Source of our infinite Being, and our freedom from all of “this world.” Let us open our heart and soul to see that Divine Love is our mission and our only religion, and It is the bridge over which we cross to the Reality of our life.
