There is a Center within each one of us in which is complete harmony, complete spiritual rest and peace, a complete Sabbath from this world. We attain the center within that the world may know peace. We meditate only that we may be still and let this glory escape, so that all men may feel the divine Presence and Power that is at the center of our being and which we have realized. Follow me: leave all your earthly desires, wishes, hopes, and seek the illumined mind, and all these things will be added unto you. So, it has been proved… the Master has promised that if you are obedient [that is, to seek first the Kingdom of God] the ‘things’ are added unto you after you have attained illumination. Furthermore, from the experience of every illumined soul of whom there is any written record, you will discover that that person not only was supplied with health, abundance, and twelve baskets full to share, including happiness, peace, and security, but he was enabled to share these with all those who were ready to follow the same path. The freedom that this book reveals is a state of permanent freedom. It is not the freedom we experience when we recover from some disease, for in that state we always know or expect that some other ailment can afflict us. It is not the freedom from lack that a wonderful new job or large inheritance may bring us, for these also can fail us.
“It is the nature of God that we be free. It is the nature of God that we be whole,” Joel S. Joel Goldsmith states very clearly that knowing the letter of truth is not sufficient, we have to progress towards being taught by the spirit or Christ within us, then our consciousness is changed. He says “Nothing exists for us except what we become conscious of or aware of. Therefore, if we would bring the grace of God into our experience, we must consciously open our consciousness to the truth that ‘I and the Father are one.’”
